Sli and Konke - Engagement shoot

I have known Konke since we were at University together. Those were fun times indeed with the 'tatas' at Kopano Residence. When he called me, I was quite keen not only to do the shoot but to also catch up with "Baard" (Afrikaans for 'beard,' which is what he calls me).

I thoroughly enjoyed this shoot, and Konke and Sli looked like they also had some fun. They were very relaxed and spent the late afternoon as natural as can be, chatting and laughing and just enjoying the moments. Konke even came up with some interesting poses of his own, which I was happy to incorporate into the fun afternoon.

I wish you guys all the best in your wedding plans, and thank you for the privilege of shooting you during this exciting time.

Spha @ The Mahogany Room

Spha is a jazz artist who not only holds a music degree from UCT's famed College of Music, but also a past winner of the increasingly popular Open Mic jazz competition held annually at Grand West Casino in Cape Town - also known to some as 'Jazz Idols.' She has performed solo at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival Community Concert (including featuring at the main festival as well), and has worked with some well-known names such as Sibongile Khumalo and Jimmy Dludlu to name but two - she also toured with Josh Groban when he was in the country. Apart from her industry 'CV,' Spha just loves being herself, and her sincerity shines through when she's on stage doing what she loves. I was recently privileged to once again enjoy Spha's beautiful work at her show at The Mahogany Room in the Cape Town city centre. Here are some shots from the evening.

Pat and Si

Patrick and Sisanda are friends of mine. When Pat asked me to take a few shots of him and his fiancĂ©, I thought it would be a great opportunity. I must say, the shoot exceeded expectations and I was pleased to be part of what the two of them are building together. Pat and Sisanda, I wish you guys all the best, and may God continue to bless you as you chart your path together into the future.
