Children are probably the most fun to photograph because they don't over-think their poses and aren't too conscious of how they might look on photos. You get a raw, honest pose that enables you to capture the most real emotions at that moment. It's even better when they're doing something fun, like painting. The difficulty is always being low (on your knees or squatting) so you can shoot at their level. Here are some shots I took of Kholo's 5th birthday.

ReplyDeleteYa, it can be quite a challenge photographing kids, but they don't think too much about the photo, so the expressions are a lot more honest.
